OPTML PRFMNCE — Optimal Performance — is the big-picture roadmap: where you're at right now, and how we get you where you're going. You're Optimistic you can achieve your goal, and it's become your Purpose — but you don't yet Trust the process enough to get there. By Mastering what it takes to reach your goal, and mastering yourself along the way, you start Leading yourself toward it. We get you there by Prioritizing Performance — executing daily to achieve your goal— through improving your Recovery, Fuel, Mindset, Nutrition, Confidence, and Enjoyment of life. That day-to-day work is what we call the PRFM Daily Method — the practical system behind the bigger roadmap. It's what leads to trusting the process and yourself, as you master yourself and lead yourself to sustainable success and confidence.

Yes. While my own story is about being a burnt-out guy trying to get his body and energy back, the coaching itself isn't gender-specific — it's built around the same root problem for anyone living a demanding life: training hard, showing up, and still not getting results that match the effort. Recovery, fueling, and mindset work the same way regardless of who's doing the work.
-
Yes. "Athlete" doesn't mean competing — it means training hard, showing up consistently, and caring about how your body performs and feels. If you're in the gym regularly, or you're working to get back there, you're already living like an athlete, whether you've called yourself one or not. That's who this is built for — the everyday athlete, not just the competitive one.
-
You don't need to already have it figured out. Some people I work with are already training hard and stuck despite the effort — the results just aren't matching the work. Others are getting back into training after time away, or building consistency for the first time. What matters more than where you're starting from is that you're ready to actually show up and do the work — the plan gets built around wherever you're at.
-
Yes. Life outruns training for a lot of people — work, family, stress, burnout — and stopping doesn't mean you can't build it back. I've been there myself, more than once. What I build with you starts from wherever you actually are right now, not from an assumption that you're already mid-routine. The plan meets you at your current life, not the other way around.
-
You're a good fit if you're ready to actually show up — to train, to eat with intention, and to stay consistent even when life gets messy. This isn't about where you're starting from; it's about whether you're done guessing and ready to follow a plan built specifically around your life. If you've read this far and you're already picturing what it would feel like to have your energy and body actually match your effort, that's usually a good sign.
-
That's exactly who this is built for. I'm an on-call firefighter myself — I know what it's like to plan around a schedule that doesn't run on a normal clock. Coaching happens online, on your time, so there's no set session to miss and no gym hours to work around. Your plan gets built to fit your actual schedule, not the other way around.
-
Yes — more than once. I lost 60 lbs in my early twenties, then nearly lost myself trying to keep it, sliding into restriction and over-control without realizing how far it had gone. I caught it and rebuilt my relationship with food. Then, a few years later — while already coaching other people through their own transformations — I fell back into those same patterns during a fat-loss phase of my own, and had to rebuild it again. I'm not coaching from the other side of a finished transformation. I'm still in it, living the same demanding life I'm asking you to build a body inside of. [Read my full story here.]

If you have a diagnosed medical condition or a history of disordered eating, it's important that you're working with a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified clinical professional alongside anything we do together — this coaching isn't a substitute for that care. Depending on your situation, I may still be able to support you on the performance and training side in coordination with your care team, but I want to be upfront: my role has boundaries, and your health and safety come first. If you're not sure whether this is the right fit given your situation, reach out and we can talk it through honestly.

Nutrition, Macros and Food Freedom

You don't need to track macros forever with OPTML PRFMNCE — tracking is a temporary tool, not a permanent requirement.
Tracking is a tool I use with some clients, especially early on, to build awareness of what "enough" actually looks like for you — not a life sentence. Over time, the goal is for you to understand your own body well enough that you don't need to track every gram to stay on target. Some people prefer the structure and stick with light tracking longer, and that's fine too — but you'll never be locked into it forever.
-
No. A strict meal plan works until real life gets in the way — a late shift, a family dinner, a day that doesn't go as planned — and then it falls apart. Instead, you'll learn a flexible framework built around your actual life, so you know how to make good decisions with whatever's in front of you, not just when you're following a script perfectly.
-
No. If anything, this is the opposite of that. I spent years earning my food — feeling like I had to work off pizza, dread holiday meals, or turn down a beer with friends to stay "on track." That's not sustainable, and it's not what I coach. You'll learn how to fit the foods and moments you actually enjoy into your plan, not around it — so restaurants, holidays, and family dinners stop feeling like something to survive or make up for afterward.
-
Yes — and this fear is more common than you'd think, especially for people who've been under-eating for a while without realizing it. When I first started coaching people to eat more, I was skeptical of it myself before I understood why it worked. Underfueling keeps your body stressed, which is often exactly why your energy, performance, and results have stalled. Eating more, done the right way, isn't about getting fat — it's about giving your body what it needs to actually perform and recover. We go slow, and every adjustment is based on how your body responds, not a leap of faith.
Performance, Recovery and Body Composition

This is one of the most common things I hear, and it usually comes down to one thing: training hard is only half the equation. If your fueling and recovery aren't keeping up with the effort you're putting in, your body doesn't have what it needs to actually adapt and change — no matter how hard you push. It's not a workout problem, it's an under-fueling and ignored-recovery problem. Once those catch up to your training, results usually start moving again.
-
Eating clean" and "eating enough to support your training" aren't always the same thing. A lot of people eat quality food but still aren't fueling for the volume and intensity of what they're actually doing in the gym — which shows up as fatigue, soreness that lingers, and workouts that feel flat instead of strong. It's less about the quality of your food and more about whether it's actually matched to what your training and your life are demanding of you.
-
Yes, you can lose fat while improving performance with OPTML PRFMNCE coaching — for most clients, that's the actual goal, not a tradeoff.
Losing fat at the expense of your performance and recovery is exactly the pattern that leads to burnout — you're seeing it happen in the mirror while your energy, strength, and workouts quietly fall apart. Done right, fat loss and performance improve together, because the same things drive both: proper fueling, real recovery, and a plan built around how your body actually responds, not just the number on the scale.
-
Yes — this is one of the most common places people are at when they come to me. Constant exhaustion, soreness that doesn't go away, and training that starts to feel like survival instead of progress are usually signs that recovery has fallen behind effort, not that you need to push harder. We'll look at your fueling, your sleep, and how your body is actually recovering — not just your training — because that's almost always where the real problem is hiding.
-
Yes — and this one's less about your training plan and more about how you think about rest. A lot of people I work with can't turn the "athlete brain" off — missing a session or taking a rest day feels like falling behind, so they push through exhaustion instead. But rest isn't the opposite of progress, it's part of how progress actually happens — your body adapts and gets stronger during recovery, not just during the workout. Part of what we work on together is learning to trust that a rest day is doing its job, even when it doesn't feel like "doing enough."
-
No. This isn't about training less or stepping away from what you love — it's about making sure your fueling and recovery can actually support it. Most of the time, the issue isn't that you're training too much, it's that your body doesn't have what it needs to keep up with the training you're already doing. We build the nutrition and recovery side around your training, not the other way around.
-
Yes. While most of my coaching is built around long-term recomposition — building an athletic body and sustainable habits — I also work with clients who have specific goals tied to a date: bulking, cutting, maintaining, or making weight for a competition. That kind of work is more precision-focused and time-bound, so if that's you, let me know where you're at and what you're working toward, and we'll build the plan around that specifically.
Coaching Process and Accountability

The PRFM Daily Method is the day-to-day system behind everything we do — it stands for Prioritizing Performance, executing daily to achieve your goal, by improving your Recovery, Fuel, and Mindset. Instead of chasing more effort or more restriction, we focus on the three things that actually determine whether your results stick: how well you recover, how well you fuel, and how well you think about the process. It's the practical, daily version of the bigger picture — [OPTML PRFMNCE] is the roadmap, PRFM Daily is how you actually walk it.
-
OPTML PRFMNCE coaching is 100% online, so you're not tied to a gym's hours or a fixed session time the way in-person coaching is.
A coach at your own gym ties you to their schedule and the gym's hours — if you can't make it in, you're often on your own. Online coaching with me works around your life instead: you train and eat on your schedule, and you have full access to me whenever you actually need it, not just during a set session. Given how unpredictable a lot of my clients' schedules already are, that flexibility usually ends up mattering more than being in the same room.
-
A calculator or app can give you a number, but it can't tell you why your energy is low this week, adjust when your schedule falls apart, or catch the patterns you can't see yourself. It's static — the same output no matter what's actually going on in your life. Coaching is active: I'm watching how your body responds, adjusting in real time, and catching the small things before they become the reason you fall off again. That's the difference between data and guidance.
-
That's more common than not, and it usually isn't a sign that something's wrong with you — it's a sign the plan wasn't actually built around your life. Generic templates and one-size-fits-all programs fall apart the moment real life gets messy, because they were never designed to bend. What's different here is that the plan gets built around your schedule, your history, and what's actually realistic for you — so it's something you can actually sustain, not something you have to white-knuckle until it breaks.
-
Life happens, and the plan is built to bend with it, not break. Missing a workout, traveling, or going through a stressful week doesn't undo your progress — what actually derails people is the all-or-nothing thinking that turns one missed day into a lost week. We adjust around real life as it happens, so a vacation or a rough stretch is just a normal part of the process, not something you have to "make up for" or start over from.
-
Nothing to panic about — the scale moves for a lot of reasons that have nothing to do with fat: water, sleep, stress, hormones, even finally eating enough after under-fueling for a while. On its own, one number doesn't tell you much. That's why we look at more than the scale — energy, strength, sleep, how your clothes fit, how you actually feel — so you're tracking real progress instead of reacting to a number that swings for reasons that don't matter.
-
You get direct access to me — not a team, not a support ticket system. We stay in regular contact through check-ins, so I can see how you're actually doing and adjust your plan before small issues turn into bigger ones. It's not a set-it-and-forget-it plan you check in on occasionally; it's ongoing, personal accountability from someone who's actually paying attention to how you're doing, week to week.
Results, Investment, and Getting Started
Results, Investment, and Getting Started
-
It depends on the person and where you're starting from, but most people notice a shift in energy, sleep, and how workouts feel within the first few weeks — that usually comes before any visible change in your body. Physical changes take longer, since real, sustainable results build gradually rather than all at once. The goal isn't a fast transformation that unravels the moment you stop — it's building something that actually holds up, which naturally takes a bit more time than a quick fix would.

OPTML PRFMNCE coaching runs $347–$497/month, depending on which package fits you.
Coaching is an investment in more than a plan — it's in the education, the accountability, and the personal guidance that make results actually stick, instead of paying for another program you'll have to start over from later. Because every plan is built around your life, pricing depends on your specific goals and situation. With that said, our current services range from $347/month to $497/month, depending on which package you're signing up for. The packages we offer are Nutrition Coaching and All-In-One Coaching, which includes Online Personal Training and Personal Training together. The best way to understand which option is best for you is to book a Strategy Call, and we can talk through what makes sense for you. You can apply for this free strategy call here.
-
That's not a willpower problem, and it's not really about you — it's usually a sign the plan wasn't built to survive real life. Willpower runs out when a plan asks you to fight your own schedule, your own preferences, and your own history every single day. What's different here is that the plan is built around your actual life from the start, so you're not white-knuckling through it — you're following something that was designed to fit, which is a very different experience than trying to force yourself through something that wasn't.
-
If you're already thinking about it, picturing what it would feel like to have your energy and body match your effort, that's usually a sign you're ready. You don't need to have it all figured out first — you don't need a perfect schedule, the right amount of willpower, or a body that's already "ready" to start. You just need to be done guessing and willing to actually follow a plan built for you. If that's where you're at, the next step is booking a Strategy Call so we can talk through it.
-
No — and that's actually the goal. My job is to teach you how your body works, how to read your own signals, and how to adjust on your own, so eventually you don't need me checking in on every decision.
One client put it well after her strategy call: "On the first day we worked together, Corbin told me that his goal was to teach me how to successfully complete a body recomposition — losing fat but keeping muscle — so I would not need to hire him again. I immediately appreciated that honesty."
Some people stay on longer because they like the accountability and continued growth, and that's fine too — but you're never locked in, and independence is always the direction we're building toward, not something that gets held back from you.
-
After you apply, I'll review your information and reach out to schedule your Strategy Call. On that call, we'll talk through where you're at, what you're working toward, and whether coaching with me is the right fit — no pressure, no obligation. If it makes sense to move forward, I'll walk you through the packages and we'll get you started. If it's not the right fit, I'll tell you that honestly too.
