Why OPTML PRFMNCE Exists
I lost 60 lbs, then I nearly lost myself trying to keep it.
That's not something I say to sound relatable. It's the reason this exists at all.
For years I thought discipline was the answer — train harder, restrict more, earn every meal. It worked, until it became something else entirely. The leaner I got, the more I owed for every "off plan" food, every holiday meal, every day the scale ticked up even slightly. I was in the best shape of my life and quietly falling apart at the same time — moody, exhausted, thinking about food constantly, and too deep in it to see what it actually was.
I caught it myself, and rebuilt my relationship with food from the inside.
Then, a few years later — while coaching other people through their own transformations — I fell back into the exact same patterns during a fat-loss phase of my own. The restriction. The perfectionism. The anxiety when the scale didn't move exactly right. I already knew better. I still had to rebuild it again, this time without a coach of my own to catch it for me.
That's when it actually clicked: knowing the information was never the problem. Living it — under real pressure, with a real schedule and a real life — is what actually changes someone.
So OPTML PRFMNCE isn't built on a theory of what should work. It's built on the PRFM Daily Method — Recovery, Fuel, and Mindset — because those are the three things that broke down both times, and the three things that had to get rebuilt before anything else could stick. I built this so other people chasing the same results don't have to learn it the way I did.
Who's Behind It
There's no team here, no hand-off to an assistant coach once you sign up. It's me — a performance nutrition coach, parent, husband, on-call firefighter, and everyday athlete, coaching from inside the same demanding, unpredictable life I'm asking you to build a body inside of.
I'm not coaching from the other side of a transformation I finished years ago. I'm still living it — still training, still adjusting, still growing in real time, right alongside the people I coach.
If that's the kind of coaching you're looking for — personal, not templated, and led by someone who's actually living it — I'd like to help you.
